Registration of Aircraft
Allocation done by ICAO
There are aeroplanes that can fly without registration; 1) test flight, 2) ferried aeroplanes (for the purpose of sale)
Airworthiness
You need to have the Certificate of Airworthiness (must have it on board, unless it's a newly designed aeroplane that is being tested) to prove that the aircraft is fit to fly.
The Certificate determines the number of crew, the weight of aeroplane (MTOM, MLM, MZFM), the category of the aeroplane, whether it is fit for passenger-carrying or fit for payload-carrying
Transport Category (Passenger): Any purpose.
Transport Category (Cargo): Any purpose, other than public transport of
passengers.
Aerial Work Category: Any purpose other than public transport. (crop-dusting, parachute dropping etc)
Private Category: Any purpose other than public transport or aerial work.
Special Category: Any purpose other than public transport, specified in the Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) but not including the carriage of passengers unless expressly permitted
You have Logbooks for Aircraft; engine, propellers (which is compiled in the Tech Log)
So you have;
Certificate of Airworthiness (includes Minimum Equipment List MEL)
Certificate of Maintenance
Certificate of Review
Certificate of Release
Light Aircraft is less than 2000kg in weight
Licenses
SPL
PPL - minimum age 17 - VFR only (can fly at night but must have night-qualifications) can fly SVFR (however, the in-flight visibility at least 10km or more) (cannot do aerial work)
LAP - minimum age 17
CPL - minimum age 18
ATPL - minimum age 21
PPL holders can't fly as PIC at night unless;
their licence includes a night rating; and .
their licence includes an IR or they have within die immediately preceding 13 months carried out as PIC not less than 5 take-offs and 5 landings with the sun at least 12° below the horizon. (Note that the latter conditions :does not necessarily coincide with ‘night’ as defined (Regulation, ie from 20 mins after sunset to 20 mins before sunrise at the surface) or
as an alternative to (ii), they act in accordance with instructions from an authorized instructor, and carry only that instructor.
MEDICAL CERTS
Age. Validity (in addition to the remainder of the month issue)
Below 40 2 years
40 - 60 1 year
Above 60 6 months.
Note. A medical certificate for a private pilot’s licence or student pilot issued before the
applicant’s 40th. Birthday will only remain valid until his/her 42nd. Birthday.
Ratings
Instrument Rated = also under SVFR
IMC Rated = restricted (not under IFR rating)
Instructional Rated
Night Rated
The radio operator on board must be certified
Aeroplanes > 5700kg must have Fight VCR (25 hours)
Documents to be carried in an aeroplane in flight;
(a) The license (under the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949) for the aircraft radio and,
where required, a telecommunications log book;
(b) the C of A (with the written permission of the Authority a flight manual need not
be carried if an operations manual is carried which includes specified
information);
(c) the licenses of the members of the flight crew;
(d) one copy of each certificate of maintenance review in force;
(e) the technical log, if any in which entries are required under Reg. 28 of the
MCAR;
(f) the certificate of registration of the aircraft;
(g) a copy of the procedures to be followed when an aircraft is intercepted
Aerial Work
When flying inside Malaysian Airspace A, B, C, D, E
If it is an international navigation flight A, B, C, D, E, F, G
Non-Aerial Work
A, B, C, F, G (International Flight)
‘International air navigation’ means any flight which includes passage over the territory
of any country other than Malaysia, except Singapore.
If you're taking off and landing at the same airfield, it is not mandatory for the aircraft to carry the documents.
PPL holder can carry out test flights for a flying club to which he belongs to the club (aircraft also must be owned by the flying club)
PPL holder must hold an instructional rating, can get paid for carrying out training flight of another student pilot who is a member for that flying club and the aircraft must belong to that flying club.

Controlled Airspace = VFR = Ground Level up to FL 150 = Semi-circular
